Painting today more than ever competes with everything: with manipulative advertising, with permissive warnings, social networks. Even a robot can make an expressionist painting, what makes painting human is the ERROR.”
With a Master in fine arts from the Departmental Institute of Fine Arts of Cali (IDBC). From a very early age he was influenced by different art languages such as cinema and comics. Much of his childhood and adolescence was influenced by the first generation of video games and the invasion of Japanese comics on the big screen. This is worth mentioning because it has had an impact on his earliest work such as film posters (Blaxploitation Series 2014-2016) (ARCO Madrid Fair 2015). Although he started out interested in abstract painting, upon his arrival in Bogotá, the capital, he soon found himself drawn into figuration. (Riots 2017-2018). Thus, without having planned it, he began to cross borders or different languages such as comics and painting, silkscreen and illustration, classical art and comics.
