Where Language Takes Form: The Reopening of The Art Dome House in Bogota
The reopening of The Art Dome House in Bogota marks more than the inaguration of a new exhibition. It signals the consolidation of a space
At The Art Dome, every milestone we reach is a story of connection — between art and purpose, creativity and leadership.
Earlier this year, our Founder and CEO Eduardo Ojeda took part in Finding My Virginity, an exclusive entrepreneurial retreat hosted by Sir Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group, on his private Necker Island.
This moment marked not only a personal achievement for Eduardo, but also a collective triumph for The Art Dome — a bridge between our mission in the art world and the global stage of innovation and social impact
For those unfamiliar with it, Finding My Virginity is more than an event — it’s a leadership experience designed by Sir Richard Branson himself.
Each year, he invites 52 emerging leaders from around the world to Necker Island for a week of knowledge exchange and mentorship, joined by members of the Virgin Group.
Branson, known for building an empire that spans airlines, music, telecommunications, and space travel, represents a philosophy that aligns deeply with The Art Dome’s values: bold creativity, resilience, and the courage to innovate through uncertainty.
During the retreat, Eduardo shared The Art Dome’s mission and vision — demonstrating how art can be a catalyst for social transformation and economic empowerment. But he also carried with him something far more symbolic: a gift of art that would connect two worlds.
During his stay, Eduardo presented Sir Richard Branson with an original oil painting by Didier Bedoya, one of The Art Dome’s founding artists.
Bedoya’s work, deeply rooted in social consciousness, often explores the Colombian–Venezuelan border, where migration and resilience intertwine.
His acclaimed series “Puentes (Bridges)” portrays migrant families crossing rivers over makeshift bridges — fragile wooden structures that symbolize both struggle and hope.
Art transforms spaces, inspires teams, engages clients, and strengthens reputation while creating long-term cultural value.

In 2019, Richard Branson organized the historic Venezuela Aid Live, a benefit concert held in Cúcuta, Colombia, to raise awareness and support for Venezuelan migrants, the event drew international attention, mobilizing aid and highlighting the humanitarian crisis on the border.
Similarly, Didier Bedoya has devoted much of his artistic career to illuminating these same realities — using painting as a form of advocacy.
When Eduardo placed Bedoya’s painting in Branson’s hands, it was a meeting of shared intent: two individuals from different worlds, united by compassion and a commitment to action.
It symbolized what The Art Dome stands for — art as dialogue, art as empathy, art as transformation.
This exchange was not just a symbolic moment — it was a validation of what we believe at The Art Dome:
that art can move beyond walls and galleries, crossing into the spaces where decisions, ideas, and global change are made.
For Didier Bedoya, knowing that his work now lives in the collection of someone who has also worked to improve lives across borders is both humbling and inspiring.
And for us, it reaffirms our mission: to empower artists whose creativity carries meaning — who remind us that beauty and purpose can coexist.

From the Hearts to the Hands: Dolce&Gabbana at ICA Miami is a major exhibition in Miami’s Design District featuring over 300 pieces that explore Italian culture, craftsmanship and the dialogue between fashion and contemporary art. Curated by Florence Müller, the show transforms ICA Miami into an immersive journey through heritage, design and artistic reinterpretation.

As a way to showcase our collection of artworks, we wanted to begin introducing the masters behind these pieces as our Artist of the Month. This allows us to take a closer look at the artworks in our collection and the fascinating people behind their creation.
