Where Language Takes Form: The Reopening of The Art Dome House in Bogota
The reopening of The Art Dome House in Bogota marks more than the inaguration of a new exhibition. It signals the consolidation of a space
The Art Dome proudly welcomes Liliana Hernández-Obando, a curator and cultural consultant whose career bridges continents, institutions, and artistic communities.
Since joining earlier this year, Liliana has played a vital role in strengthening our Miami operations, adding depth, stability, and fresh vision to our projects within one of the world’s most dynamic art scenes.
Liliana’s career began in 1997 with the City of Medellín Art Festival and the Museum of Art at the University of Antioquia, where she shaped exhibitions for four years before moving to the United States.
At the Upcountry History Museum in South Carolina, she curated The Silk Road, and later curated the Latin American Art Show and coordinated the Latin American Hispanic Film Festival at Clemson University (2005–2009).
In 2010, she returned to Medellín to direct the Festival of Art & Performance, and two years later founded Plecto Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo—a cultural lab for emerging artists that soon became a platform recognized at art fairs including ODEON, ARTBO, PINTA, and SWAB.
Liliana’s influence expanded through her work with the Santiago Corazón Foundation’s Contemporary Art Auction (2012–2016) and later as Curator and Artistic Director of Art Medellín (2017).
Most recently, she directed and curated B de Volumen (2022–2023), a documentary series on Fernando Botero that won national recognition and was selected for competition at INPUT 2024.
Her path illustrates a curatorial voice deeply committed to fostering dialogue, cultural exchange, and new opportunities for artists across Colombia, the U.S., and beyond.
She is a curator and cultural consultant with decades of experience in Colombia and the U.S., now expanding The Art Dome’s vision in Miami.
Liliana is Cultural Consultant and Art Business Strategist, curating exhibitions and advising on future projects in Miami.
Her expertise in curation, art fairs, and cross-cultural collaborations will help The Art Dome grow globally and strengthen its cultural presence.
At the start of 2025, Liliana joined The Art Dome Miami, taking on an active role at our Collector’s House in Eichholtz Miami. Collaborating with Montenegro Art Projects, she refined curatorial adjustments and safeguarded the artistic vision of the exhibition.
Today, Liliana works directly with our CVO, Eduardo Ojeda, as Cultural Consultant and Art Business Strategist. She now curates the artworks at our Miami office, bringing a renewed visual identity and strengthening our presence in the city’s international art ecosystem.
Liliana’s expertise will be central as The Art Dome grows, leading cultural projects, nurturing collaborations, and shaping exhibitions that reflect our philosophy: art with purpose, architecture for meaning.
With her guidance, our Miami headquarters will continue to evolve into a living exhibition space—an open dialogue between curators, artists, and collectors.

From the Hearts to the Hands: Dolce&Gabbana at ICA Miami is a major exhibition in Miami’s Design District featuring over 300 pieces that explore Italian culture, craftsmanship and the dialogue between fashion and contemporary art. Curated by Florence Müller, the show transforms ICA Miami into an immersive journey through heritage, design and artistic reinterpretation.

As a way to showcase our collection of artworks, we wanted to begin introducing the masters behind these pieces as our Artist of the Month. This allows us to take a closer look at the artworks in our collection and the fascinating people behind their creation.
