Every December, Miami becomes a global hub for art, design, and culture during Miami Art Week. The city fills with art fairs, exhibitions, and cultural events, offering our team a chance to experience firsthand the exciting energy that defines this world-class celebration.
Art Basel Miami: The Heart of the Week
At the core of the festivities is Art Basel Miami, an extension of the Swiss art fair. This year, from December 5-7, the Miami Beach Convention Center hosted over 283 galleries from around the world. While Art Basel is the main event, satellite fairs like Untitled Art and Design Miami offer additional exhibitions that push the boundaries of contemporary art.

A Diverse Range of Art
The 2025 edition of Art Basel had something for everyone—from iconic pieces like Andy Warhol’s portrait of Muhammad Ali to bold new works like Maurizio Cattelan’s Bones (2025). This year also saw a rise in themes around technology and AI in art, with Beeple’s Dog Pen (2025), featuring robotic dogs with the heads of art and business figures, offering a satirical take on the tech-driven world.
Familiar Faces in Our Collection
During our visit, we saw in exhibitions newer works from artists that are part of our own collection, including Tomas Saraceno, Thilo Heinzmann, and the already mentioned Andy Warhol, allowing us to see news phases from the great artist we collect.
Among this artwork from artists in our own collection, we also had the chance to interact with Jesús Rafael Soto’s iconic penetrable installation, a striking example of kinetic art that invites viewers to physically engage with the work.

A Memorable Experience
For our team in Miami, Art Week was both inspiring and productive. CVO Eduardo Ojeda explored galleries in the main fair and the beach installations that Untitled Art had, reinforcing why Miami is the perfect home for The Art Dome. Meanwhile, Cultural Consultant Liliana Hernandez represented The Art Dome in a collaboration with our partners at Eichholtz during the week, further bridging the worlds of art and design.
From the Hearts to the Hands: Dolce&Gabbana at ICA Miami is a major exhibition in Miami’s Design District featuring over 300 pieces that explore Italian culture, craftsmanship and the dialogue between fashion and contemporary art. Curated by Florence Müller, the show transforms ICA Miami into an immersive journey through heritage, design and artistic reinterpretation.
As a way to showcase our collection of artworks, we wanted to begin introducing the masters behind these pieces as our Artist of the Month. This allows us to take a closer look at the artworks in our collection and the fascinating people behind their creation.
