Camilo Bojacá (Sogamoso, 1985) began his career studying plastic arts at the National University of Colombia in 2005, where he explored different techniques. From drawing, animation, video and sculpture he finds a way to question and establish a relationship with one of the central themes that is the landscape and how it is built in our days.
His constant interest in issues such as landscape, nature, architecture and the city, have resulted in projects such as; Jardín de Malezas (Garden of weeds) or Andamios (Scaffolding) where he questions the way we are building the city and affecting the natural environment. He proposes through his work a hybridization where the built and the natural coexist in mutual benefit. From delicate pencil drawings, scaffolding made of graphite mines or cement sculptures with bonsais, he invites us to rethink our relationship as inhabitants of the world.
