Diana Beltrán considers herself a full-time visual consumer. She has explored diverse artistic languages, recognizing herself in sculpture, engraving and mainly in photography. In it, she restructures a new plane and becomes an architect of faces and bodies. She assembles photographs to find another truth. Photography is an illusion, a fictitious reality.
The common thread in her work is the construction of portraits and identities. Each individual in its constant becoming leads her to think about the fragility, structure and meaning of the body, as skin, as flesh, as a deformable and modifiable figure. A political being, child of its environment, of violence, of society, she is not talking about someone special, it is any being that she sees, that she is.
