Jorge Magyaroff, a Colombian artist born in Bogotá in 1979, embarked on his artistic journey by undertaking a rigorous education in the field of plastic arts. His formative years were enriched by his enrollment at the Guerrero Academy of Arts in Bogotá, where he dedicated himself to the study and practice of art from 1998 to 2003.
Magyaroff's commitment to the arts extended beyond his own creative endeavors. From 2003 to 2007, he lent his expertise by conducting art workshops in re-education institutions tailored for adolescents, nurturing the talents of the next generation of artists.
In mid-2007, Jorge Magyaroff transitioned to a pivotal role as an assistant in the esteemed artist Carlos Blanco's workshop, a position he held with dedication and distinction until 2012.
Throughout his career, Jorge Magyaroff has actively participated in a plethora of exhibitions that have served as a testament to his artistic prowess. Noteworthy exhibitions include the BBVA National Painting Salon in 2003, the Digital Art Salon in 2004, and the Salón de Arte Joven El Nogal in 2009. His remarkable body of work earned him the distinction of representing Colombia at the ARCO Madrid art fair in 2015. Additionally, he was selected to spearhead a project room at the ARTLIMA fair in 2016, held in the Peruvian capital.
In 2016, Jorge Magyaroff co-founded the collective PROYECTO FAENZA, a dynamic platform dedicated to curating and promoting artistic projects throughout the city of Bogotá.
